  1. Enter the street address of the party.
  2. Enter city, state, zip, country, etc.
  3.   Enter any comments you would like to make.  
  4. Enter the company or person's name.
  5. Enter the person to whom you want to contact within a
  6. company.  This field is optional.  Leave it blank if
  7. you entered the person's name in the previous field.
  8. Enter the phone extension if any.  This is an optional
  9. field.
  10.   Welcome to The Phone Database!  You are in the MENU with 
  11.  the following options:
  12.   Phone
  13. this is the main program where you can 
  14. view, add, and delete names, addresses,
  15. phone numbers, and comments.
  16.   Print Report
  17. print a report of all records
  18.   Quit
  19. return to DOS (ESCAPE also quits)
  20. Enter the party's phone number.  
  21. You are in the PHONE LIST TABLE.  COMPANY/NAME and PHONE
  22. are listed in a scrolling table.  Use the cursor keys to go 
  23. to the record you want to edit, add, or delete.  The Name
  24. Locator allows you to locate a name by typing the name.
  25. F5 will dial the number that the highlite bar is on.
  26. You must have first entered your comport the modem
  27. is on by pressing F7.
  28. F7 will allow you to choose which comport your modem is 
  29. on.  You will not be able to have SWITCHBOARD dial
  30. a number without this information.  If you don't
  31. know which comport your modem is on, consult your
  32. installer of the modem or your supervisor.
  33. WARNING:  SPECIFYING THE WRONG COMPORT MAY CRASH THE PROGRAM
  34. Ins will add a record
  35. Del will delete a record
  36.  Enter will allow you to change a record or just view it
  37. You are in the UPDATE FORM.  Records can be added,
  38.  deleted, or edited here.  A message bar will blink below
  39.  the title "UPDATE FORM" indicating the action that will be 
  40.  taken if you press Ctrl Enter.  If you change your mind and
  41.  want to return to the phone table press Esc.
  42. Use the left and right arrow keys to select the comport  
  43. your modem is on.  If you choose "None" you will disable 
  44. the dialling capability of SWITCHBOARD.
  45. WARNING: If you choose the wrong comport this program may
  46.      crash while attempting to dial a number.
  47. If you are not sure or don't know which comport your
  48. modem is on consult the person who installed the modem
  49. and choose "None" for now.  You can always come back
  50. later.
  51. Food for thought: No question is to dumb to ask.
  52. Use the left and right arrow keys to answer either yes
  53. or no if the phone number of the party is long distance.
